Chris Bennett, Farm Journal’s Technology and Issues Editor, posted a feature on the AgWeb site Oct. 24 with that headline — “The Road Back to Conventional.”

Chris describes how Jason Smith transitioned his 3,000 acres of soybeans to conventional, non-GMO varieties and manages to have uniformly weed-free fields. 

Yes, he does include a cultivator pass in his management, which depends mostly on premerge and postmerge herbicides.

To us, what makes this news is where the story appeared — in Farm Journal’s AgWeb site. It’s one of the first substantive presentations on non-GMO crops we’ve seen on an advertising-supported ag website.  Here’s the link to the well-written feature.
