Renewable Farming

AgriEnergy Resources seminar Jan. 26: “Next Generation Farming.”

One of the best-attended winter seminars offered by ecology-minded consulting firms is the one sponsored by AgriEnergy Resources since the late 1980s.

Here’s their detailed announcement, e-mailed to clients today:

“Where did 2015 go? Seems like just yesterday we were preparing for our annual, winter seminar “How to Thrive in Today’s Ag Economy – 10 Practical, Profitable Solutions”  and now here we are a whole year later. While we hope you were able to benefit from last year’s seminar, we have an outstanding speaker line-up planned for this year’s seminar “Next Generation Farming: Yesterday’s Wisdom + Today’s Technology = Our Future.”

“Over the last year, there’s been a lot of buzz about the “next generation” and how they plan to continue their family’s legacy of farming. While it seems like it should be a simple transition, many young farmers realize something has got to give. Most farmers know they can’t just “do what Dad did” and still be able to thrive in the next 50 years.

Don’t worry. We have you covered. With yesterday’s wisdom and today’s technology your future is a bright one, so save the date, January 26, 2016, and plan to attend our annual, winter seminar. Learn why we believe biological farming is the future of economical, high-quality food production.

“We hope you will be just as excited about our speaker line-up as we are. In addition to some of our agronomists, we have confirmed speaking times with Jim Mitchell, Jerry Carlson, Dr. Rick Haney, Jerry & Cindy Glaser, Anthony Suau (Director of Organic Rising), Kevin Kiehnau, Reggie Destree, Richard Ritter, Gary McDonald, a Clarkson Grain representative, Doug Lockwood, and Mark Egan, among a few others. Topics will include soil health, 28 years of biological farming, new & emerging markets, and organic farming considerations.

“This year’s seminar will be held at the Timber Creek Convention Center, 3300 Drew Avenue, Sandwich, Illinois 60548 from 8:30am-5:00pm on Tuesday, January 26. A block of rooms have been reserved at the Timber Creek Inn & Suites (attached to the Convention Center). Please call 630-273-6000 to reserve your room today. Rooms will be $119 plus tax until January 8 and $169 plus tax after. There are no other lodging option in Sandwich, however, some hotels are available along Interstates 88, 55, 80, and 39.

“More details will be provided in January, but if you plan to come please RSVP to AgriEnergy Resources by January 15 at 815-872-1190. A lunch will be provided for all those that RSVP.

“Until then, we genuinely wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year!”
